Part-Time Local Personal Operations Assistant
I’m looking for a reliable local college student, recent grad, or early-career person near Redwood City to help turn messy personal/admin systems into clear next steps.
$25/hour
5-10 hours/week to start
Redwood City / nearby
In-person + remote tasks
18+ and high school graduate/equivalent
What the work looks like
- Organize a home office: sort, label, structure, and help decide what needs action versus filing.
- Turn mixed piles of paper, notes, receipts, devices, and “I’ll deal with this later” chaos into useful categories.
- Do small research/comparison tasks: compare products, find options, summarize tradeoffs, and flag missing information.
- Help maintain a simple task tracker and follow-up list.
- Draft short summaries, checklists, and next-step plans.
This is not a cleaning job. It is organizing, structuring, and practical follow-through. A cleaner makes the room look better. I need someone who makes the system work better. Tiny difference; enormous pain in the neck if missed.
Good fit
- Organized, practical, and comfortable with ambiguity.
- Can ask useful clarifying questions without needing everything pre-chewed.
- Respects privacy and treats documents, devices, and personal information carefully.
- Good written communication: concise, specific, and not allergic to bullet points.
- Comfortable using AI/tools, but not dependent on them for basic judgment.
No preference or decision will be based on race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, pregnancy, national origin, disability, veteran status, age protected by law, or any other protected category. Please do not include sensitive personal information in your response.
Initial screener
Paste a resume, short bio, cover-letter style note, LinkedIn link, or anything that gives a reasonable picture of your background. I’m not picky about format. The point is whether you communicate clearly and seem like someone who can help impose structure on mild domestic entropy.
Privacy note: Do not include Social Security numbers, medical details, bank info, or anything you would be annoyed to see in an email chain.
